Maybe someone is looking or acting a little crabby today..

But I try to always remind myself,
it is easier to judge than to understand. Even if it seems like a super simple obvious choice–like it is clear as day–this person is a crab (or insert other judgements)
.. and maybe this person isn’t doing themselves any favors, and they are even leaning hard into that particular persona. But the thing is, you don’t know them or where they are coming from, not really…

In my world this would be the bad kid in school or the bad parent: not watching their kid; watching their kid too hard; being to hard on their kid (take your pick). In your world, this could be the bad boss or the person in front of you in line.

You may think you have them pegged, and some people really think they can peg people. A single people, though, is a person, and one person is a complex snowflake nestled in a tsunami fireball. Like Wally Whitman before them–they contain magnitudes!

Basically, they have a lot of stuff going on. So do you! Maybe they had a bad morning, a bad day… week… year, but maybe 98 percent of the time they are great people. This moment just ain’t it. Would you want to be judged for one singular moment like this?

So crab or no crab, cut ‘em some slack.
